This page presents two versions of a letter Dr. Morse sent to Dr. Esther Lederberg in late January, 1961. The first version, initially received by Dr. Lederberg, bears the typewritten date of January 23, 1961 with handwritten comments dated January 27, 1961. The second version is an unannotated copy of the first. It is conjectured that when Dr. Morse liquidated his University of Colorado School of Medicine office in the mid-1990's, and sent Esther Lederberg copies of their correspondence1, the copy shown below was included.
